About Us

We’re a family-run restaurant that’s been part of the West Village since 1995. From day one, we’ve cared about more than just the food—we’ve built a space where people feel at home. Over the years, we’ve welcomed artists, neighbors, families, and friends who’ve become like family themselves. Whether you’re here every week or it’s your first time stopping by, we’re always happy to serve you with warmth, kindness, and a good plate of food.

West Village History

Our building has quite a story. Back in the 1920s, during Prohibition, it was a saloon run by the Donnelly Brothers—and it didn’t exactly stop serving. In 1922, a bartender here famously fought off a robbery attempt using a beer bottle, only to be shot twice (he survived!).

Decades later, in the 1960s, the space became the Bus Stop Coffee Shop—and we’ve been here ever since. The building itself was designed in the Romanesque Revival style by architect Thomas E. Goodwin, and much of its original character still shows. So when you sit down for a meal here, you're not just grabbing a bite—you’re sitting in a little slice of New York City history.
